It's hard to believe it's been 10 days since
Felt Club: XL Holiday rocked Hollywood! We want to personally thank each and every one of you who came out to support your friendly neighborhood artists, crafters, and designers. We hosted 3,000 visitors that day, who shopped 'til they dropped, got down to fantastic music from our DJs, ate yummy vegetarian treats from our kitchen, and made super-cute stockings with the editors of
Craft and

photo borrowed from Broken Press. Thanks, K!In not-so-fun news, the giant Felt Club banner we hung outside the venue was stolen. While we're thrilled that people enjoy our artwork (created by our talented pal
Jordan Crane), it's kind of a bummer that someone stole a banner we went through a lot of trouble to have made. Especially when we've got these amazing new hand-silkscreened posters for sale, which debuted at the event:
This is a gorgeous
3-color silkscreen print, hand-pulled by the artist. Ink colors include a creamy-candy pink, chocolate brown, and goldenrod on cream paper. Poster measures approx. 17" high by 26" wide. Limited edition of 100 prints, signed by the artist. You can get one of these beauties in our new
Etsy shop!
Special Note: We will also include a FREE copy of our Felt Club: XL Holiday event program with your poster purchase WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. (Only 1,000 of these programs were made & distributed at our holiday event on Dec 9, we have small # of "artist print" editions set aside for you guys.)Click
here to visit our shop, which also offers mousepads, pocket mirrors, and button sets!
We'd also like to let you know that if you missed the event, you can take a "virtual tour" thanks to the magic of television! Tune into
KNBC's daytime show
YourLA on Tuesday, December 19 at 11:30am (
Channel 4 in LA) to see FCXL up close and personal.
Lastly:
YES, we're doing shows in 2007. But of course!! However, instead of the smaller monthly events we usually hold, we're going to throw two super-sized events (70+ vendors), a
Summer show and a
Holiday show. Both will take place in
Echo Park at the Ex-Plex,
The Echo's refurbished and expanded venue. Here we'll be able to offer everything XL Holiday had, but with better lighting and much better parking. So exciting!! Once the dates are confirmed, we'll let you know.
Thanks again to all of you for supporting Felt Club throughout 2006. We look forward to bringing you the very best of the SoCal craft scene for many years to come. Have a great holiday season and we'll see you in 2007!
