Oh no! Our humble craft fair was recently levied with city fines nearing $600, all for postering violations from 2006. Basically, some of our wonderfully enthusiastic friends put up flyers where they weren't supposed to, and/or didn't remove them after the show was over...and now the city has come a-knockin'. The end result is that we've had to spent lots of money we don't have on paying these fines, which stinks since a) we don't make money or charge admission at our shows and b) we're starting 2007 at a deficit, not a great thing when we're looking forward to putting on two super-sized and better-than-ever shows at the
Ex-Plx this
July and
November.
So, in true "Let's put on a show!" fashion, our craftastic vendors (such as
Cathy of California,
Nicola Vruwink,
Sidepony,
Mister Funky and more) and friends (like
Reform School and
My Favorite Mirror) have banded together to help us raise some dough. We've assembled three mind-bogglingly cool lots of handmade goodness and have thrown 'em up on
eBay. Each lot contains heaps of great stuff like vinyl zip pouches, crocheted owls, vintage charm jewelry, baby tees, one-of-a-kind handbags, silkscreened sketchbooks and more. Score one of these babies and you can rest easy, having taken care of a year's worth of gift-giving in one fell swoop! Of course, you could always just bid on one and enjoy all the awesomeness for yourself, it's totally up to you. Either way, we hope you'll bid!
The auctions go on sale at 6pm today (
3/11) on eBay, and will end at
6pm on
Sunday, March 18. Click

Flickr for more photographs and info. ALSO please note that we've extended our

Etsy store now.
